We headed to Niagara on Thursday morning, on our way we stopped at a menonite store and got some snacks and sandwiches for lunch. As we got closer to the falls it started to rain and we were following Chelsea and her google maps kept taking her around in circles, finally we found the parking lot and parked, but it was still pouring rain so we sat in the cars for a while. When the rain calmed a little bit we ran inside and then the rain started again so we decided to hang out inside and eat lunch. After lunch it was still raining and so Grandma Evelyn was going to get tickets for Maid of the Mist and then we were going to wait for the rain to subside and then go, but when she went to get the tickets we all had to be present so we all ran down to the ticket booth in the rain. Then we went down the elevator to get our ponchos and almost the minute we got our ponchos the rain stopped, so we were all wet under our ponchos. We decided to wait for the next boat so that we could be on the top deck. We got on and rode to the falls, it was so amazing and the kids just loved it, and so did we. After the ride we decided to head to the Canada side, after all we had all taken the time to get our passports specifically for this trip. We were really happy that we did because the view from the Canadian side was amazing! After that we headed back to Chelsea's house for pizza and wings, what a great first day in New York!
