Memorial Weekend 2011

For Memorial Weekend we headed down to Manti to the Temple Hill Resort near Palisade State Park. We had heard about the area from a coworker of mine and were very glad she told me about it. We arrived on Thursday evening after some minor car issues. Curtis' parents were there waiting for us with a fire where we roasted hotdogs for dinner and had s'mores afterwards. The next day the children spent some of the morning playing at the park before we headed into Ephraim for the Scandanavian festival.

We walked around the booths and ate some yummy food at the Scandanavian Fesival.

Friday evening Richelle Blanchard(my coworker) and her family arrived at the same RV park as us. The next morning we decided to go to the lake and rent paddle boats and enjoy the day. We rented the boat and Maryssa, Sariah, Stanton and myself peddled it across the lake to meet up with the rest of our group. The Blanchards met us there about an hour later and also rented a boat and we played in the water and ate snacks on the shore and just enjoyed the day.

Cory Blanchard was nice enough to take Stanton out and help him cast out a fishing pole.

Later that evening after dinner the Blanchards' came over to our site and we enjoyed some dessert together and then a hay ride up the mountain overlooking the Manti temple. It was such a great weekend and the weather actually cooperated with us and it was a great time had by all.
